Young Artists Alliance . She is the creator and administrator for the TASHCO Young Artists Festival. She served on the TASHCO Board of Directors, the Adams County Cultural Council and on the Board of Directors for Ballet Nouveau Colorado. Rosalie is a graduate of Metropolitan State College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and public relations. For 1. 5 years she owned Tremont Printing in downtown Denver with her husband. This small business ownership gave Rosalie experience in financial management and planning, as well as the day . Upon retirement, Rosalie continues with her arts volunteerism and teaches 1. As executive director for the Young Artists Alliance, Rosalie oversees the management of the organization which includes program development, grant writing, fundraising, and program supervision. She works closely with TASHCO, the city of Thornton and the YAA Board of Directors in establishing long- range goals for the community. Rosalie is the 2. The Westminster Schools. The Middle School program provides a training environment. Courses include a selection of introductory classes as well as offerings that fulfill the needs of highly talented young artists. SCFD Rex Morgan Award. Heather Schenck: Artistic Director. Heather has been teaching music in the Adams 1. Five Star School District for almost 1. Choral and Theatrical director at Mountain Range High School in Westminster. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado where she studied choral conducting, string pedagogy and piano performance. She was the Choral and Orchestra Director at Westlake Middle School for five years, where her groups received many awards including the honor of performing for the Colorado Music Educators Association in 2. Heather has adjudicated solo and ensemble contests in strings, piano and voice. She is the conductor for the Young Artists Chorale and helps manage the Young Artists Festival. Heather serves as the Chair- Elect of the Colorado All- State Choir. She has been a private piano teacher for over 1. Pamela Luhrs: President. Pamela has served on the board of several organizations. At Stargate Charter School, as board president, she organized the charter renewal process and served on the committee to build a new school building. At Legacy High School, she served as secretary of the Legacy Choir Booster Club where $2. In 2. 00. 1 she received the School Volunteer of the Year Award for Congressional District 2 from the Colorado Association of Partners in Education. She recently retired after serving for 5 years as an assistant director of Youth Theatre at the Art Underground in Louisville, Colorado. Jay Kinsel: Vice President. Jay is a professional director and member of The Stage Director and Choreographers Society. With a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Stephan F. Austin State University, he specializes in directing, acting, and lighting design. He currently works contracted jobs and has had the opportunity to direct for companies like Up With People, World Campus Japan, Center. Stage Theatre Company, Kenwood Camp and Off Broadway. In Adams County, Jay works as a theatrical technician for the Adams 1. Five Star Schools and is the Technical Director for The Studio School. Jay is a produced playwright and a member of The Dramatist Guild of America. Jay has a long history with nonprofit programs focusing on experiential learning opportunities for young people worldwide and has served in many different management roles on the operations side of business. Karin Gritz: Secretary. Karin is the owner of Premier School of Dance located in Thornton, Colorado. She has owned this studio for over 2. Karin trained with Gwen Bowen School of Dance, and began teaching at age 1. She spent several years teaching at the Pueblo Ballet and Metropolitan School of Dance while raising her family. She employs 6 dance instructors, has over 1. Colorado Dance Alliance. Karin has had participants in the TASHCO Young Artists Festival since its inception in 1. Several of her students have gone on to pursue dance degrees in college and to perform in pre- professional companies. Valerie Price. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Regis University. She has spent the last 2. City of Thornton and the City of Broomfield. Her knowledge of the workings of city governments as well as her training in accounting makes Valerie an indispensable member of the board. Her daughter, Alexandra, participated in our programs for several years, giving Valerie an understanding and appreciation for the goals of the Young Artists Alliance. Pam Wilder: Media Specialist. Pam has an AAS degree in Architectural Engineering from Front Range Community College and a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado Denver. She is Product Manager for Keymark Enterprises with 1. Pam was a student of classical ballet for 1. She has been an arts advocacy volunteer at The Studio School and Center. Stage Theatre Company where she served as props master, costume designer, set builder, and backstage crowd control. With her knowledge of computers and social media, Pam is our go to person for advertising design and social media outreach.
